Who was I at 1aim

At 1Aim I worked as a product designer with mechanical and electronics engineers in the development of the company’s flagship product - a modern digitally-activated electronic lock system.
During this time I was also responsible for the re-branding of the whole 1Aim brand, creating a new logo and all needed materials to create a solid brand - like a new website, presentation materials and documents of all types - that reflected the company’s founders vision.

As the company grown up in size so did I and my responsibilities and role inside the company. At this time I was incharge of ensuring that the development of the product was following the right path, working at this point more close to the engineers team to ensure that the Design of the Product was not compromised.
As part of my responsibilities I managed a small Graphic Design team to ensure that the results were consistent and going with the ideologies of 1aim, allowing at the same time all the space and freedom for new brand concepts or ideas.

Light Access Pro™

My approach to make 1aim Light Access Pro™ (access control system) stands out on todays electronic lock market.

The Light Access Pro is made of two hardware components that work together the Access Module, the face of the product and also the reader, and the Lock Module, the bouncer behind your door that allows or denies entry according to what the Access Module will whisper.

InterCom

The 1aim InterCom was a proof of concept that how 1aim technology could be implemented into another products. This was a challenging project due that the client wanted a 21" intertactive touch screen with camera and sound on the InterCom.

As a normal InterCom of a building this would be expose to the natural conditions of rain, sun, mist and dust.

SmartDoor™

This project requested by Lars Hinrichs ( founder of Xing) for his Smart Home project in Hamburg, Apartimentum.

The goal was reinvente how people interacts with the door and  to make a completely seamless door from the outside, without any handle/knob or even a key hole, while keeping the same 1aim design language as possible.

For this project we approached one of the biggest german door manufacture Schörghuber Spezialtüren KG to work together with us, where they would provide that they do best, the door it self, and 1aim would provide the Tech part to make it Smart. It was a great project due to working close with such big company and to see how 1aim Technology can be retrofitted in products that everyone knows.
